From 25 November to 10 December 2025, the Queen Mary community will mark 16 days of awareness, action and allyship against gender-based violence.

This year the theme is to End digital violence against all women and girls. You can find out more about the global campaign here.

Wednesday 26th November

Event: 16 days of activism at Mile End - Library Foyer, Mile End. 11:00am-1:30pm

To commemorate 16 days of Activism we will be holding a stall with activities and opportunities to have discussions about how to create safer spaces online.

We invite students to join us in spreading further awareness by wearing at least one item of orange clothing. The first 10 students to visit our stall wearing orange will be in with a chance to win a prize.

We will also be sharing information on support for anyone who has experienced sexual assault, harassment, domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence.

Workshop : Want to help shape a more positive and connected campus culture?

Join Beyond Equality for a relaxed workshop where we’ll talk about consent, communication, boundaries, and healthy relationships and how they show up in everyday student life. It’s an open space to share ideas, ask questions, and build confidence in how we connect with each other. Attendees will receive a £10 QMSU voucher.
